VIU Milner Gardens and Woodland

Seasonal Blooms

Winter

Early blooming rhododendrons, hellebores, witch hazels, snowdrops and winter aconite are a welcomed sight in winter, and a reminder that spring abundance is just around the corner.

Spring

A celebration of colour and rhododendrons, the Gardens come alive with blossoms of all shapes and sizes. Main features include our collections of camellias, daffodils, and magnolias.

Summer

Lush and emerald green, the Gardens look straight out of a fairytale in the summer months. Pink and red roses greet you at the entrance to the Camellia Tea Room, technicoloured candelabra primulas, towering foxgloves, vibrant irises and hydrangeas can be found throughout the 10-acres of whimsical Gardens while the silk tree puts on a grand show at the Reflecting Ponds.

Fall

The marvel of fall foliage takes center stage from late September through October. The natural transformation from shades of green to exceptional rich oranges, deep reds and golden yellows creates a sense of being in a whole new garden.
