COVID Protocols at the QB Civic Centre

copy of the Addendum to Club’s contract for the use of the QB Civic Centre is attached to the latest Newsletter, and a limited supply will be available at the Membership Table on March 7. As per the QB Civic Centre’s instructions, we are required to circulate this Addendum to our members prior to using the facility.  Please review this document prior to attending the meeting.

Given that facilities across Canada no longer offer liability coverage in the event of Covid transmission, and given that the Civic Centre is following suit, that means responsibility for liability now rests with the club and its members. Therefore, it is incumbent on upon each of us to ensure that all protocols are strictly followed.

Reminders:

  • There are inherent risks of attending public meetings, please evaluate your personal circumstances to determine your attendance.
  • Do not attend the facility if you are not feeling well.
  • Wash your hands, and/or use hand sanitizer before and after attending the meeting.
  • Maintain a 2-meter social distance from each other while at the meeting.
  • The use of masks is required at all times in the facility.
  • Be prepared to show your proof of vaccination at the entrance, along with a piece of ID.

Disclaimer:  While the Qualicum Beach Garden Club has undertaken reasonable steps to lessen the risk of transmission of COVID-19 as per the governmental, Public Health Order, and Facility guidelines, the Qualicum Beach Garden Club, its members, and officers, are not responsible in any manner for any risks or liability related to COVID-19 in connection with the club or attending meetings of the club.
