Five Visit School Program - Application for the 2025-26 School Year

The Shoots with Roots Five Visit program is offered free of charge through the generosity of donors and the Milner Gardens & Woodland Society. Our sincere hope for the program is that it inspires children to become stewards of the natural world as they build their knowledge of nature and their place in it. The program is extremely popular, and we often have more classes who wish to attend than we have space for.

Interested K-7 teachers from local public and private schools are invited to apply to attend. Applications are reviewed by a committee to determine which classes are the best fit, and successful teachers will be notified by the beginning of the school year. First choice will be given to Grades 1, 2, and 3 (including K-1 splits). We welcome applications from classes who are excluded from outdoor learning in other spaces due to accessibility needs.
